Our Story:

TAMU was created by Cauley Taylor and Agus Mulyawan after years of building homes and bespoke spaces together through their company, Empyrean. Along that journey, we fell in love with the artistry, tradition, and heart that goes into Indonesia’s handmade craftsmanship.
TAMU grew naturally from that love, a shared desire to celebrate local makers and bring their work to the world in an honest, thoughtful way.

Our name has its own meaning too. In Indonesian, tamu means “guest,” a reminder of the hospitality and warmth that inspires everything we do. It also represents us: TA for Taylor and MU for Mulyawan. Two partners building something with purpose.

Our Mission:

We’re here to honour Indonesian craft and the people who keep these traditions alive. Every item is made to order, never rushed, and never mass-produced.
